Take Me Out to the Ballgame...

Last weekend we went to go see the Carolina Mudcats play some baseball!

I'd been wanting to go to a baseball game around here for some time now and I thought I'd found a way for us to go free...believe it or not.

I had purchased a groupon for box seats at a Carolina Mudcats came for $10.  Just so happens that I had a coupon for $10 off your first purchase with groupon so I used it when I purchased the tickets which made them FREE.

Well, I forgot to read the fine print.  You can't use groupons on the weekend.  Wah, wah!  :(

So after figuring that out, my husband still talked me into going even though we wouldn't get to use our groupon.  We also took our friends, Chad and Jodi.  :)

So we all piled up in Betty (what I call our little car) and headed out to Zebulon to watch the Mudcats play ball!

And we got there late.  Because my hubby took a left instead of taking a right.  We might have gone 10 miles out of the way, but it's okay because we got there.

You better believe I gave him a hard time about turning left instead of right.  He gets to talking and doesn't realize where he is. Or at least that's what I think.  ;)  Love you, husband!

Nonetheless, we got there.  That's all that mattered.  :)

We found some seats and took in our surroundings.

We cheered on the Mudcats, saw some good plays, and watched some silly games in between innings.  And would you believe they even played Rocky Top there too?!  Jon and I were so surprised that we moved to North Carolina and they were playing a Tennessee song there.  You better believe I was singing at the top of my lungs.  And I think I was the only person there singing as well as the only person who knew to throw their arm in the part and scream whoo!  My husband loved that. :)

We also tried boiled peanuts for the first time.  Chad and Jodi LOVE them and we had never had them before so they insisted that we try them.

We gave them a whirl.  I wasn't a fan.  I thought they tasted like beans.  :)  I probably will never eat one again.
I just plan on letting this girl eat all of the boiled peanuts for me:
:)
Here is Muddy the Mudcat running the bases between innings...

And the Mudcats won!!!!!!

Even thougth I took this picture early on, they really did win.

We had a lot of fun last weekend!  A great night with great friends.

Now we'll just have to go back sometime Sunday through Thursday when I can use that Groupon!  :)

Have a Happy Week!

Homemade Super Sonic Breakfast Burritos

Have you ever had a Super Sonic Breakfast Burrito?

If not, you're missing out!  The burrito is filled with wonderful bits of sausage, egg, tater tots, cheese, tomatoes, onions, and jalapenos.  Except I get mine without the onions and tomatoes.

They are glorious!  So glorious that I'm sitting here craving one as I'm typing this.  This past weekend I had the genius idea to make homemade breakfast burritos and boy did they ever turn out delicious!

Here's what I put in Preacher Man's Burrito:

Sausage, Egg, and Cheese...because he's plain like that.

For my burrito:

Frozen hash browns that I browned in a skillet, sausage, egg, cheese, and jalapenos.  YES!

We both LOVED them and I will have to say that this will be something that we'll make again for sure!

You should try making them too!

It's super simple--just ground up or cut up your sausage in bite-size pieces, scramble an egg or two, brown up some hash browns in a pan with a little oil, throw some cheese and jalapenos on it if you're into that....and maybe even some peppers, onions, and tomatoes if you have enough people around to do that for.  That would be scrumptious!  Once you have everything done, just load it into a warm tortilla, roll it up, and stick that baby in your mouth.  Delicious!

I hope you'll find the same joy that I found in breakfast burritos.  They are a yummy change for breakfast every now and then.

Hoping you will enjoy some burritos,

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers in my life!

I am so blessed to have each of you as my mom, my nana, my mom #2, and my maw.  :)

To my own Mom:

Debbie Kay (as I like to call you when we're in public and you don't hear me yelling mom), I love you so much and am so thankful for all that you have done for me!  I'm so glad that we're as close as we are and that you're one of my BFFs!  I know that I can count on you for anything.  Thanks for always sharing with me your goofiness and for listening to me go on and on all the time.  I love you and I'm so glad that you have an awesome, new hip, AND that you're my Mom!  :)

To my Nana:

You're always so much fun to be around!  My favorite times are our talks with you sitting in the rocker and me sitting on the couch.  Thank you for always pointing me to the thing that matters most in life whenever I have a problem.  I'll always be your lifeguard and don't you forget it!  I love you!

To my 2nd Mom:

God knew what He was doing when He paired us up together for a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.  I'm so very blessed that we like each other and enjoy spending time with one another.  :)  Thank you for loving me like your own.  You'll never know how much that means to me.  I love you so much!

To Maw:  (Preacher Man's grandmother)

You're my twin.  I swear.  I think Jon and I are destined to be the Maw and Paw for the future.  :)  You know he's just like Paw and he continues to tell me that we're just alike.  Thanks for always putting a smile on my face every time I see you.  I love you!

I am so blessed to have all of the mothers that I have in my life.  I hope you've told your mother how you feel about her today too!

Happy Mother's Day to you!
