1 year old CAKE!

Preacher Man and I celebrated our anniversary way back in July.  I haven't gotten around to posting our anniversary festivities so I thought I'd do it since I had some pictures that I hadn't shared on my camera card.

I was most excited about eating our cake!

YUM!

And maybe watching our wedding video too!  That's so much fun!

Our anniversary was on a Sunday this year so we started celebrating on Saturday with going out to eat at a Mexican Restaurant since it was the anniversary of our rehearsal dinner...and because we had a fiesta for our rehearsal dinner.  I think we could eat Mexican food every day.  Seriously.

Once we go home we watched our slide show that a family friend had made us for the rehearsal night as well.

I boo-hooed.  And I mean boo-hooed good.  I don't know why I was such a crazy, blubbery woman, but I was.  I was just so happy.  They were happy tears.  :)  PROMISE.

I have to admit that night that we actually tore into our wedding cake.  I set up a fun little display on our kitchen table with our cake and all of our serving sets we used on the day of the wedding.

I thought it was pretty cute even if I did set it up.  I surprised Preacher Man with this after he woke up from a nap that afternoon.  :)

And of course we had Diet Coke and Dr. Pepper to drink!  :)

We even toasted!  Ding!
(those were our glasses crashing together.)  :)

Yay for anniversaries!!!  It's hard to believe that it has really been well over a year now.  Crazy!

And the one year old cake....

It was delicious!!!!!!!!!!

Really delicious!

The next morning (Sunday) was our ACTUAL anniversary.

Early that morning we got a phone call from Preacher Man's parents stating that his grandmother had passed.  Of course we were extremely sad about her passing, but we were happy in the fact that she was no longer suffering in her health anymore.  Of course we will miss her very much and it wasn't a fun way to wake up at all, so instead of being sad, we decided to celebrate her life and our love.

So many things to celebrate and so many things to be thankful for.

That morning we made a yummy breakfast.  My honey cooked the eggs and bacon and I cooked the cinnamon toast.

And yes, that is Sunny D and Diet Coke with our breakfast.  Breakfast drinks of  champions!  Haha!

After breakfast we went to church where we had the Lord's Supper.  It was quite an emotional day for everyone.  Life, Love, and Remembrance.  An anniversary that we'll never forget.

That night we went to The Cheesecake Factory courtesy of Preacher Man's parents.  (Thank you again!)

They had called and reserved us a table and we were treated like a king and queen that night.  So yummy and wonderful.

I hate to admit that while we were at The Cheesecake Factory that I didn't take a picture of us together, but I did take a picture of each one of us.  :)

Isn't he cute?!

We topped our dinner off with this....

complete with a candle and a wish.

It was fantastic!  We had a wonderful anniversary!  I'm so thankful that God blessed me with the man that I married.  I love him more each day!  :)

Wishing for more 1 year old wedding cake and another salad from The Cheesecake Factory,
The Preacher's Wife
