Jon Makes Kool-Aid

Do you know how to make Kool-Aid?

I like to think that most everyone knows how to make Kool-Aid.  However, this past week I found out that my husband doesn't know how.

You see, two months ago to this date we both gave up cokes.  If you know either of us, you know that is a HUGE deal!  We love our Diet Coke and Dr. Pepper.  For crying out loud, that's what we drank at our wedding in goblets because we love it so much.  My Mom even bedazzled the cans that we would use too!  Crazy--I know!

Since we haven't been drinking any kind of carbonated beverages, we've been drinking Crystal Light.  When you make Crystal Light all you have to do it dump the packet in the pitcher, add some water, stir it around and ta-da, it's ready to drink.

Recently we were at the store looking at the flavors of Crystal Light and I pointed out Kool-Aid to Jon.  He thought that we should try it so we threw some different packs in the buggy.

Later that week we were home one night when he was talking about how bad the Kool-Aid was.  He said that he was going to pour out one batch a try a different flavor.  (I haven't been drinking Kool-Aid...I've been drinking water more than anything lately so I didn't try the kind that he made.)  So that's what he did, he made a new batch.  Grape Kool-Aid.

I'm sitting on the couch and he says that is just terrible and pours it out too.  He told me that he didn't want to get anymore Kool-Aid.  Much to my surprise, I asked him how he was making it.  His reply?  Well I just dump the packet in, add water, and stir it up like the Crystal Light.  My reply?  Babe!  You have to add sugar to Kool-Aid.

The light bulb went off in his head.  And then we made a new batch of Kool-Aid and now he loves it.

Bless his heart.

I love my husband so much--more than I could ever type into words!  Just look at him:

Cutest thing ever!  And he's good at making messes too....although I did help with this mess.  Never a dull moment in our house!

Let me know if you need directions on how to make Kool-Aid anytime soon,
